Another W for JV Black against Southport

The JV Black team had a tough match against Southport this Thursday.

The Millers looked strong for the majority of the first half, having multiple goals disallowed but able to get two of them to count. Those two came in the 20′ from sophomore Braden Lindley and was assisted by Jackson McQueeney. The second goal for the Millers came in the dying moments of the first half with a goal from Brian Prange, assisted by Lucas Villegas.

The second half did not go well for the Millers. Although they created many chances to score, they were unable to put them in the back of the net. This led to Southport gaining moomentum throughout the half. They had a breakthrough with about 20′ left to bring their deficit to one goal. However, the Miller backline, led by goalie Cooper Miller, held strong and kept Southport at one.

The final was 2-1 Noblesville. They play again at Zionsville on Tuesday.
