Noblesville gets a hard earned 1-0 victory over Plainfield

It was a balmy Monday night as your Millers traveled to the southwest side of Indy to battle the Plainfield Quakers. Not only did the Millers have to battle the heat, they also had to battle the field conditions. It didn’t look like the groundscrew had cut the grass in weeks, making it very difficult to dribble or connect passes. Your Millers perservered, retaining about 80% of the possesion on the evening. After many attempts on frame, the Millers were able to break through about half way through the 1st half on a Penalty Kick by Sam Holland. They went into the break up 1-0.

The second half saw more of the same. Patient work from the back line of Alex Pursch, Kasole Williams, Max Reason, Blake Horn and Jake Hall led to many opportunities. Freshmen Ben Hewitt started creating some chances along with Caden Rice. Unfortunately, none of those chances found the back of the net. The game ended 1-0.

The Millers are right back in action at home against Avon tomorrow evening. It is also Teacher Appreciation Night where every varsity player will be showing some love to their favorite educators.
