Millers earn a tough fought 1-1 draw with rival Fishers

It was an HCC battle with rival Fishers on Tuesday night. Your Millers got off to a quick start, with freshmen Ben Hewitt firing a shot that deflected off a defender and into the goal less than 5 minutes into the game. For the next 30 minutes of play, the Tigers and your Millers traded offensive chances. With 5 minutes to go in the half, Fishers earned a corner kick, which they were able to convert after the Millers were unable to clear the ball out of the penalty area. The score at halftime was 1-1.

The 2nd half saw your Millers change formation to add some more offensive firepower up top. While chances were created, they were unable to find the back of the net. GK Cole Thompson also did his part in keeping the game tied with some spectacular saves.

The Millers are back at it on Thursday with another conference foe in the Brownsburg Bulldogs. Hope you can make the trip to the west side of Indy to catch this heavyweight bout.
