JV Black wins their season opener against Perry Meridian 7-0

The JV Black team had their first game of the season tonight up against Perry Meridian at their beautiful soccer complex.

The Millers started off quickly with goals from Braden Lindley and Ashton Hancock. Matthew Prange assited on the second goal with a beautiful pass to Ashton. The Millers had the vast majority of the chances in this half and were able to score three more before halftime with goals from Ben Hewitt, Carson Mertens, and Caedmon Todd. Those goals were assisted by midfielder Braden Lindley and Caedmon Todd.

The second half was a similar story. The Millers defense didn’t allow many opportunities the entire game. The second half goals came from Nico Peña on a penalty kick and Caedmon Todd. The final goal of the game was beautifully assisted by both Timmy Clark and Carson Mertens. 

The Millers logged a clean sheet and have a tough test at Carmel on Thursday evening.
