JV Black scores 3 first half goals to beat Brebeuf 4-0

The JV Black team was up against Brebeuf for their third game of the season this Saturday.

They started off well creating many chances throughout the half. The initial breakthrough came in the 13′ with a goal from Ben Hewitt who dribbled around the goalkeeper and passed it into the net. This was assisted by Carson Mertens. The second goal for the Millers was an own goal, but was created off of a beautiful cross from Matthew Prange who found Ben Hewitt for a shot. The shot went off the post and off of a Brebeuf player for the second goal of the match. The Millers then increased their advantage with a goal from Miles Musselman in the 25′ of the first half with a great left-footed finish.

The second half was slower from the Millers. However, they stayed solid defensively and found another goal from Matthew Prange in the dying minutes of the match.

The JV Black squad has another match Monday evening all the way over in Plainfield.
